RARE ROYAL DOULTON CRYSTAL CUT GLASS TUMBLER WITH THE CONCORDE \"C & CROWN\" ETCHED LOGO.

FROM THE 70S (NEGUS PERIOD)

These were made by Royal Doulton , under special commission from British Airways and are in High Grade Crystal with a Diamond Cut Design to the lower area and an etched Concorde \"C and Crown\" logo towards the top. This design was more robust than the earlier, thinner, Wedgwood Crystal ware that was used on the earliest flights and gave Royal Doulton the complete monopoly on supplying quality table ware to the British Airways Fleet for years to come. The Royal Doulton mark was reverse etched onto the base so one could see the emblem from the top of the glass whilst drinking!!.

These were usually used for Ice Cool Long drinks and Mixers with spirits etc: and were exclusive to the very \"Special\" Concorde passengers and nothing like this was made available to any other flights on the rest of the B. A. Fleet and thus made Concorde passengers feel even more \"Special\" when using this Icon of Flight, the beautiful \"Flagship of British Airways\".

Designs were influenced by the design house Negus & Negus Associates, who were given the specific commission to design all of the Concorde Experience, with some of the airframe designs being followed through into all the other aircraft in the fleet toform the new British Airways Corporate image.

These one on offer here today is near perfect condition with no blemishes and I have a few more of these to offer shortly.
