Ca 1860\'s CIVIL WAR 1/9 PLATE RUBY AMBROTYPE 3 X HEAVILY ARMED UNION SOLDIER
Offered is a Civil War 9th plate Ruby ambrotype of a 3 X armed Union Soldier. He is armed with a percussion rifled musket, a bowie knife, and what looks like a James Warner percussion revolver. Nice focus and detail on this one and you can see the details on the sheath of the bowie knife. This is a 3/4 length standing view of the Soldier. Comes in a Littlefied & Parsons UNION case designated BERG 1 - 133 Ships Stern front & 3 - 259 Geometric back. The mat isthe much desired Patriotic style.
Light wear to the image where the mat contacts the surface. There are a few light wipes noted on the image, and traces of a few finger prints (most likely by the photographer). Case shows a few edge & corner nicks. Slight play in the hinges. Functional clasp and holds close. Please see all images for details.
