Ca 1860\'s CIVIL WAR 6th PLATE TINTYPE ARMED UNION INFANTRY SOLDIER w/HARDEE HAT
Offered is a Civil War 6th plate tintype of a seated armed Union Infantry Soldier wearing a nice example of a Union Hardee Hat. The photographer meticulously painted with gold gilt, the buttons and insignia of the soldier; along with the breast plate. The image comes in a split full pressed wood case.
The image is sharp with light surface wear. There are no observable bends in the main body of the tin. Nice contrast and detail. A spot of rust at the upper left corner. Very nice period image. Please see all images for details.
