Very rare and original, ca1900 Hand Painted Occupational Shaving Mug for a Carriage Driver / Doctor featuring a fantastic Image of a Horse Drawn Carriage / Rig / Doctor’s Carriage.

This very attractive, Hand Painted, Porcelain Occupational Shaving Mug measures approx. 3 3/4\" tall and 3 1/2” in diameter at the base and the top. The Mug features a fantastic image of a Carriage drawn by two horses and driven by a distinguished looking gentleman. The name of the owner - “Wm. F. LaCro” - appears in gold gilt, Gothic font letters above the image and there is a band of ivy and berries at the top edge of the Mug.

The decoration on this Shaving Mug is very attractive and the colors are bright and vibrant. The Mug carries a mark on the base that appears to be the German KPM blue sword.

PLEASE NOTE: This Shaving Mug is unconditionally guaranteed to be an original ca1900 Hand Painted Barber Shop Shaving Mug and is NOT a reproduction, reissue or of modern manufacture but an original Mug manufactured and decorated at the turn of the 20th century!!

This rare and very attractive, Carriage Driver / Doctor Occupational Shaving Mug is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, physical damage or repairs of any kind. The ground porcelain is a brilliant white color as manufactured. The Hand Painted Decoration is also crisp and clean with no scratches, scuffs, discoloration or surface wear. There is, however, wear to the gold gilt borders at the top and bottom edge of the Mug and to the name of the original owner as can be seen in the scans below.
