Many times when we describe the pieces on the online Trading Post the artist is the focus. However, what draws many people to Native American handmade silver is the turquoise. This powerful and healing stone comes in so many beautiful colors and characteristics. On look is impossible with this magnificent piece of Royston Turquoise, it is breath taking, if you study the piece you will find parts of it that appear green or a tropical ocean blue color and the matrix is just as stunning, shades of brown fill the rock. Navajo silversmith Calvin Martinez has placed the stone on one of his signature cuffs. Complicated cutouts have been placed on each side of the rock that pulls the whole design together, silver and stone. When you start with a stone this magnificent you don’t have to do much with the silver for it to be appealing. An amazing piece to own with a classic American stone.
