This listing is for an Antique EAPG, Cambridge Buzz Saw Round Covered Butter Dish. Buzz Saw, pattern 2699, was introduced by Cambridge in the early 1900\'s. It\'s often called Double Star and Buzz Star. The pattern features a whirling star design surrounded by canes, fans and hobstars and is often confused with McKee\'s Aztec pattern. The base has a sawtooth edge and unique shape. It\'s a fantastic piece of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) and early Cambridge.The dish measures 5\" high, 7 7/8\" in diameter at the base and weighs 2 lbs 7.8 oz.The interior rim of the butter base has a few small flat chips and light roughness, none notable without inspection. The sawteeth are in excellent condition with none chipped down, a common problem with antique sawtooth rims. Two of the teeth have flat chips on the end, not visible without close inspection. The balance of the piece is free of chips, cracks and fleabites including the entirety of the lid. The glass is wonderfully clear with a nice light glow under UV light. It\'s in excellent condition and will make a great addition to an EAPG collection and the curio.Shipping, Payment and Other Information:
