"Carl Barks\' fifteenth lithograph in a continuing series byAnother Rainbow has been produced in eighteen (18) continuous-tone colors, picturing Uncle Scrooge McDuck with nephew Donald Duck and siblings Huey, Dewey and Louie as thy encounter the inhabitants of a barren asteroid. Based on Barks\' 1960 Uncle Scrooge comic book story, "Island in the Sky," An Astronomical Predicament is the Duck clan\'s first lithographic voyage into outer space. A miniature reproduction of this story behind the painting accompanies each print."
"The first of three editions is of 345 signed and numbered copies. A Gold Plate Edition of 100 lithographs--each one stamped with a debossed 1/4" gold band surrounding the 20" x 16" image area--and an edition of five compete sets of Progressive Proofs have also been struck, all trimmed to a 25.5" x 21" paper size. There are a small number of Artist\'s, Publisher\'s and Printer\'s proofs not for sale. There have been no previous editions, there will be none in the futre, and there are no unsigned or unnumbered copies. All printing plates have been destroyed to prevent future use."
