Condition:
The painting shows ascratch lower left and the edges show partially rubbed spots due to the frame. Otherwise itis in good condition, consistent with age, The frame shows usual signs of age and wear as well as different loss of color.

Carl Otto (1830-1902)
Carl Otto was a German painter and porcelain artist in Munich. Otto studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts where he was a pupil of the famous and enthusiastic teacher Carl Theodor von Piloty (1826-1886). The artist who created history paintings, cityscapes, portraits, genre scenes and still lifes was guided by the ideas of romanticism.
