For sale:
A superb vintage set of fish knives and forks with what I believe to be ivorine handles and silver blades and tines, the hallmark shows if I\'m not mistaken, Sheffield, England in 1938, by the Victorian silversmiths and cutlers, John Sanderson & Sons at their Arundel Street workshops.The set comprises of Six Pairs of fish knives and forks. The fish knives measure approximately 7 1/2\" long and the four prong forks measure 6 3/8\" long. Each knife weighs 39 grams and each fork weighs 29 grams.These are plain honest pieces with no engraving.
All pieces are in really good condition with NO cracking to the handles. (A few are requiring a polish) Each piece is hallmarked. (Please see photos) They come in their lovely original wooden case with a vacant cartouche, which is lined with dark blue velvet - the case in good condition, with no significant scratches that I can see. Sadly the key is not present.
All in all a delightful practical addition for someone\'s table.
