Here is a beautiful .925 sterling silver token representing the Casino Estoril in Portugal, one of 25 tokens in the 1978-1980 Franklin Mint series of sterling silver \"Gaming Coins of the World\'s Great Casinos,\" all struck in Proof quality. This token has a face value of 1,000 escudos and a total gross weight of over 20 grams. Descriptive paperwork is included.I acquired the complete 25-coin set in its official presentation case. This case makes a beautiful display, but does not afford complete protection to the coins. Coins were originally sold in individual capsules, but later removed from those capsules to insert in the case. Each time the case was opened, the coins were exposed to air and possibly dust or moisture, so they will probably tone in the future, and the quality of that toning cannot be predicted. Also, the coins could come loose if the case was shaken, and the most recent previous owner told me that he had (carefully) removed the coins to weigh them individually. When I removed this coin from the case, I wore plastic gloves and a facemask, but I can\'t speak for the handling practices of previous owners.Please check the photos carefully to judge condition.
