Ornate Castilian French Style Porcelain Urn Jar Mounted on Bronze Color Metal Footed Base Cut Out Metal Accents Embossed Lid

Base is stamped: Castilian - Item No. 5034

This is truly a stunning and beautiful piece. Our photos do not show it’s real beauty. Must see in person. This heavy weighted porcelain lidded jar or urn is painted in cream, rose, and neutral colors. It is mounted on a bronze color metal stand with 4 legs. It has a metal filigree crown that encircles its shape from base and goes over the top of the lid. The lid is raised embossed metal and has a pineapple shape finial. Very unique.

Makes an impressive and lovely centerpiece presentation on a buffet table or an entrance table in the foyer. This piece was purchased along with a few other similar pieces at a grand sized, (over 12,000 sq. ft.) estate home in Colts Neck, NJ. Measures: Metal base is 5-1/2 by 5-1/2” from leg to leg. At center, it is 8” across from metal arms and it is 12-1/2” high to top of metal header. The Ceramic urn alone is about 5-1/2” at widest body by 3-3/4” diameter at top of rim. Lid is about 4-3/8” diameter by 3” high at top of finial. Urn is 8-1/2” high with lid.

In very good vintage condition with no cracks or chips in the ceramic. The metal areas have some tarnish and could use some polishing. It’s an antique bronze colored metal. We can’t confirm it’s actually bronze. We leave this to the experts. We can confirm that it’s beautiful and a quality made decorative piece. Please review photos.
