This handsomely framed print, Cat in the Window, celebrates the ordinary pleasures of life. It pictures a large lazy cat sunning itself in a typical French Quarter window. It would be a great addition to any homey home.Robert Rucker was the son and grandson of steamboat captains in New Orleans and all along the Mississippi River. Much of his work was of grand riverboats and life in the surrounds of the river. This one is a tribute to the City he loved. Rucker was named a \"Louisiana Legend\" in 1993. In my research, I learned that this is the first of Rucker\'s paintings to be reproduced for sale. Image size is 14-1/2\" by 11\". Frame is approx. 20\" by 16\". Frame is in very good condition but shows some signs of wear. Touch-up stain should fix that.
