$9.99

This sale is for one (1) ID’d CivilWar era CDV image of “Daniel B. Smith”.Military Records indicate that Daniel B. Smith served as a Private inthe 177th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The 177th O.V.I. was fromed in 1864 and served the remainderof the war, taking part in a number of campaigns and engagements. I have listed the history of the 177thO.V.I. below. I purchased this CDV manyyears ago from a antique dealer who removed it from an “album”. Underneath the CDV it was marked “D.B. Smith – served in Civil War – 177th O.V.I.” On the reverse it is signed “D.B. Smith –Oberlin” (Ohio). It is believed thatthis photo was taken shortly after the war ended. On the lower front below the image is a“Photographer’s Mark” for a “Oberlin, O.” photographer. This is a nice I.D.’d image of a Civil Warveteran and would make a nice addition to any Civil War collection. ID’d images are getting harder to find so don’tpass up the chance to add this to your collection Please see photos. Thank you.
