Up for sale, we have a gorgeous one day animated musical chalet style Black Forest Germancuckoo clock. This is a really fun clock with a lot of action. Details include the hand painted flowers and window boxes, a shingled roof, carved wooden trees, a well, water wheel with shed roof, and two head butting carved wood goats.The cuckoo bird and clock face are also made of wood. The pendulum is hand painted too. The cuckoo calls the hour and half houron a one day Regula movement. After the cuckoo calls, the music box plays Der Frohliche Wanderer, \"The Happy Wanderer\", on the hour, and Edelweisson the half hour, while the two goats butt heads and the water wheel turns. The music box is a Cuendet Swiss music box, the movement is German Regula, but the case manufacturer is unknown, other than we know it was made in Germany. There is a night switch on the side so that you can silence the cuckoo and music at night if you choose to do so.
We oiled the movement and music box, cleaned the case, made adjustments so that it runs as it should, cleaned the chains, and adjusted the gong.We\'ve tested it in our home for a few weeks and it runs perfectly, cuckoos, and keeps excellent time. The clock is complete with chains, three pine cone weights, and a pendulum. It looks beautiful, and works great. The dimensions are 11\" X 11\" X 6 1/2\".
It would make a wonderful addition to any cuckoo clock collection.
