Offered at sale is a gorgeous set of quality sterling invery good to excellentcondition. The beautiful Chantilly by Gorham.

Thisset is in excellent, used condition, showingfew of the expecteduse and/or storage scratches of estate sterling.

Using the industry standard of 22 grams per knife (and other hollow handled pieces) this set weighs in at an estimated 2147 grams. That\'s 69.03 troy ounces of quality sterling silver... and in today\'s financial climate, sterling is an investment... not an indulgence.

I carefully wash and wet-polish every item by hand so I can objectively judge the condition of the items I am offering.

I am extremely fussy in my selection of items to present to my customers. If I wouldn\'t feel proud to serve family or guests with these sets and sterling pieces, then they do not get listed. Instead, they go straight to the melt bucket.

None of the pieces in this set show any signs of abuse or mistreatment. The blades are bright and shiny, the fork tines, straight and smooth and the spoons aresleek and evenwith no snagged edges.

The sterling that I am currently listing are not my property and as such, I am unable to make a \'deal\'.They belong to a friend who is in the precious metals business. He has a warehouse that is stockpiled with sterling items that he has purchased over the last 28 years of business, including more than 100 different silver flatware sets. With the soaring price of silver, he had decided to send them all to the smelter to be melted down.

Instead, I convinced him to let me try to offer them on so that they would not be destroyed. I know that there are silver lovers out there that wish to harken back to the days of genteel dining and gracious living. Besides, I have come to genuinely appreciate anything that is older than me and still survives.
