Beautiful antique bowl 19th century Chinese export. Cupid bow corners, great mottled \"orange peel\" to base porcelain. Exterior colors are vibrant, very well executed art work, gold rim shows some wear which is to be expected for age. the interior has a coat of arms, with butterfly border. The is an old staple (4) repair toone corner, mainly visible from interior due to agemark and glue used. This can be displaced as found, solid bowl (dings true) or can be repaired using modern techniques. Amazing that the staple repair was done so well that the bowl sounds so nice when hit with finger. I would assume the repair is 1930 or earlier. The exterior pattern are wonderfulbutterflies in flower bed, every other design matching, 4 panels total. Generally considered to be Rose Medallion sometimes Rose Canton depending upon who is looking at design. The bowl stands approx 4\" high, 9 1/2\" wide.
