I was just at the Oscars Academy Awards and similar Belle Epoque jewels were the rage. I believe this is a Chinese Export piece. Turquoise is all the rage today - please see the photos from the recent magazine I have included with the prices! 9000 for a typical Turquoise ring! The necklace is worthy of the fine jewelry collections in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston! The necklace comes from a prominent New York city estate. It is classic and elegant and has great impact - with all the elements that you look for in antique jewelry - quality, design, originality, sparkle, drama, just a perfect estate jewel!!!The necklace is in excellent condition with no damage to the silver work. The turquoise cabochons are all in excellent condition. One of the turquoise in the chain, the closest one to the pendant on the right side is a bit rough on the surface. The necklace is 21.5 inches (55 cm) long. The center drop hangs down 7 cm (2 3/4 inches). It is not hallmarked. The necklace weighs 32.5 grams.This is a stunning estate jewel with great drama and style. The combination of the extraordinary turquoise, the magnificent silver work and the festoon style is mesmerizing. Together they create a jewel worthy of the finest collection. This is so immensely wearable either during the day or at the most glamorous affair.
