This is a gorgeous Estate piece from a Private Collection of a Chinese Huanghuali Small Brush Pot \" Bitong \" dated to the 18th/19th Century. Of a Cylindrical form and the wood is Blonde tones and reddish brown tones also in natural grain. This Wood has \" ghost face & patterns and characteristic \" hare\'s fur \" .The underside has a circular with a large central plug bottom, this has natural knot\'s in wood also because of age nic\'s on rim outer and inside opening. This was used by a Scholar for his calligraphy and paint brush\'s, it is 5 inches tall and 3 inches across widest points of brush pot and opening is 2 1/2 inches across. - REDUCED -
