Click to View Image Album Chinese Large Spinach Jade Plaque, Ming Dynasty Period, Circa 16th to 17th Century. Thick spinach jade plaque carved in the form of a bell with a loop hanger at the top and scalloped edge at the bottom. Both sides of the plaque are incised with simplified scrolling designs, cranes, lingzhi, ruyi-head form clouds and trigrams. Near the top of the plaque are two pierced wan symbols and at the bottom the center trigram is also pierced. There are four old silver repairs. Natural jade color is dark spinach green with dark inclusions. Natural inclusions and veins/natural cracks throughout stone. Fine old hand polish to stone.
