Chinese Quing dynasty ginger jar and cover.
Circa 1880.
Apple green glazed ground. All over floral and butterfly decoration in polychrome enamels. The wooden cover is carved and pierced with scroll decoration. 17cm high, excluding cover. 18cm diameter. Weights approx. 1.5 kilos.
Generally excellent original condition, however, there are some impurities to glaze, and 2 very small chips to glaze, please see photos, and very light surface scratching. Centre panel of the wooden cover is missing.
