Here is a cool ninth plate ambrotype in a full union case. The image shows what is definitely an early war Virginia recruit. The uniform he is wearing is exactly like what the early volunteers wore. He is armed and has his breast plate and belt plate tinted. I cannot see anything on those plates. Image is very clear and has some very minor mat rubs at the top. Super image.Favorite Links
