original Civil WarConfederate letter dated August 30th 1861. This letter mentions, certificates of disability for discharge and in one area it mentions the 25 Regt Va Vol and in another area it says......under the Commd of Brig Gen Jackson, I think this is in reference to Stonewall Jackson as he was a Brigadier General at this time. It is signed and near the bottom left it has the name or signature of a person in the 12 Regt Geo.
