A fine early vintageand genuine.

I thought we had sold out of these North Carolina CSA documents, but going through stuff, found two left. I really think this is the last of the group we obtained.

Our scan shows them some wrinkled, with light fold lines, that is their condition, no stains, no odors. Both concerns CSA soldiers in the North Carolina 37th Volunteers stationed near Raleigh. One fellow was a Chaplain and his middle name was Luckey. He was not too lucky., became a POW a few months after this document was written, at the Battle of Hanover Court House., transferred to several prisoner of war camps to include Vicksburg., exchanged at Aiken\'s Landing in November, 1862 and then discharged due to old age. He was 53 yrs old.

The other document refers to Pvt. John Nicholson, being transferred from the 34th NC to the 37th NC., and was approved by Governor Henry T. Clark [ not signed by Gov. Clark ]. Certainly unusual for this document to be approved by a Governor for a Private. Two good documents.
