What a grand quilt this once was!
This quilt a fabulous pattern and excellent hand quilting.
It is hand quilted at 8-11 stitches per inch and has quilted hearts
It is hand appliqued.
It is hand bound.
It measures 81\" x 81\"
This quilt has a good amount of damage. There is popping and tears throughout the red pieces, light surface wear on some of the green and cheddar pieces, a few loose appliqued pieces, a couple water marks in a head size area, a dark brown lentil size spot, a seam opening on the binding, on the back there is a line of tan spots/marks, also on the back there are a couple light fold lines and light tanning. (See photos.) There are several very light spots on the front and another water mark that is extremely light, all of this was too light to photograph. There might also be some extremely light age tanning on the front but it\'s hard to tell.
Freshly hand laundered.
Not the beauty it once was, but a pretty, affordable, and early quilt from the civil war era.
