Discusses expected cavalry raid by Stewart; mentions that Lt. General Grant is now commander of the Army and will have his headquarters in the field, with the Army of the Potomac. Letter is very good, only light soiling and slight separation at the corners of folds. Folded twice and with soiled and crudely opened transmittal envelope.
