Civil War Navy Letter 1865 Flag Drawing Duchies Holstein Schleswig Austria VTG:

An original Civil War letter dated Bureau of Navigation Navy Department Washington April 6th 1865. Near the top it says, Circular. Some of the writing is a little hard to read, I translated the best I could. The letter reads:

Sir:

The Bureau transmits herewith, for your information, a drawing of the Flag provisionally adopted by the Cabinets of Vienna and Berlin for the Duchies of Holstein and Schleswig recently communicated through the Department of State by the Minister Resident of Austria..........(signature) Further down it has the name of Commodore J.B. Hull

Theletter is in good condition with some wear, there are holes.
