Park Barracks, near Louisville Kentucky, 1862.

Letter started Oct 9th \"here i sit on well not quite a battle field
don\'t know how soon it may be it is 2 miles south of town...
15,000 of us...marching and sickness shoots about as many as the rebels do.
But it appears that we are getting the better of them...\"

Then continues on Oct 13th \"we have 80 tents on the ground now 15 in a tent i have to write on the brim of my hat...i dream most every knight aboute you all...i hope you will never have to go in to the army...\"
