The Letter was written by George Starr on 6/20/1862, from the U.S. Navy \"Fort Henry\"East Gulf Blockading Squadron Florida, Glad to be off the \"Circassian\" for I have a better chance to take Prizes here,had a good chance to see the East and Southern Places from NY to Galveston and a good deal of the Rebels Works, laid at anchor in Mobile Bay right under the Rebels Fort, taken 5 Prizes, a 5 masted boat loaded with corn behind Depot Key, a small Sloop between Depot Key and Snake Key sent to Key West, captured a Cotton Barge with 57 bales of Cotton, a there was solders on the boats which we took, 2 Railroad engineers surrended to us at Way Key,Other great tales about the former Reb Schooner Beauregard capturing another Cotton Barge with 39 bales of Sea Island cottonand another ship full of Corn near \"Christle River\", he mentioned the Schedule for the Ship, 4 bells awake to 8:00 turn in,Other great tales of Rebel Soldiers and captures,Sorry he is not home for plantingand misses home.
