This is an amazing piece of quilt art!

c 1860s

Tiny pieces with the smallest measuring 1/4 inch.....designed with challis fabrics. Most have taken years to create.

Measures 83 x 70 inches

Hand bound. Hand pieced. No quilting.

The challis fabrics are rich in color with center squares in solid red. Back a brown print.

A special example that will make a wonderful study or lecture quilt!

There are worn fabrics, holes that are scattered. Some age spotting. Not a perfect quilt, but certainly one that desires to be collected.

Like a Venus De Milo.....not perfect but a masterpiece!

I know there is a collector that would enjoy this quilt and give it a good home.

We just found this one from an estate in Pennsylvania.
