Civil War dug artifacts from the Battle ofCold Harbor, Virginia foughtJune 1-3, 1864 where Confederateslines extending for 7 miles heldoff repeating mass assaults by the Union forces.Grant ordered a pre dawn assault on the morning of June 3rd,attacking along a two mile front with 60,000 men. The Confederate response was so fierce that the musket fire rattled windows 12 miles away in Richmond.More than 7,000 of Grants brave men fell in just 20 minutes.

These artifacts bear silent witness to the struggles of the brave men from North and South.

Allartifacts were found on various private properties in and around Cold Harbor in Hanover County, Virginia.with the landowners permission.

Items are mounted on a deep burgundy velvet and have labels identifying each artifact. Ready to hang on a beautiful8 x 10 solidwoodframe.
