Vintage Heavy Egyptian Sterling Silver Cigarette/Trinket/Jewelry Box

This vintage sterling silver cigarette box or jewelry / storage chest was made in Egypt and has a divided cedar lining.

The lid is sightly domed; the sides are flat.

The entire exterior of the box is solid sterling silver all around (including the bottom).

Hallmarks on the box date it to the late 1940s-early 1950s.

It is in very good undamaged condition; we have not polished it and it is still quite reflective.

The box measures approximately 6-3/4\" x 4\" x2\".

It weighs a generous 505 grams total weight.

***NOTE***

Because this box is all silver including the base (which is usually felt, leather or wood) the silver weight is substantial.

Very little of the weight comes from the cedar lining.
