Offered from my mother\'s estate is a Classique Antique Trees Lake with Boat Reverse Painted Lamp unsigned 22\" tall Heavy.Mom bought this in the 1950s as an Antique back then. The glass has a frosted or lightly pebbled texture to it on the non-painted outer side. Beautiful scenry. The felt on the bottom has a sewn on label Classique Lamps. I don\'t see a printed signature, but I can\'t see too well either! There are some scratches in the silver tone finish, however, that finish is paint, over a golden or brass color metal. I have no idea why someone would do that. When you take off the top you can see the brass on the underside of the top part as well.It is super old. The screw on the Fineal goes into the center where the wiring is. It looks like it could have been rewired many years ago. The silver painted Leviton fixtures hold the bulbs. One of the pull chains doesn\'t work on the side with the bulb. We took the bulb out for safety. The other side works well. The marks from the photo on the glass are very tiny paint drips on the outer, non painted side, that we never cleaned over the years.There are no chips cracks or damage to theshade.This is a rare item, as I, nor an appraiser, had seen a heavy metal base like this one before, nor the same trees and lake design. From a smoke and pet free home too.
