Black glass apothecary onion bottle. 1770-1790. Very very rare. Survival rate of bottles like this is nearly zero due to their fragile nature. Although every colonial apothecary shop had several they are rarely offered on the public market today as most are acquired by museums. This superior bottle has it\'s original clear stopper, some original contents and a label. Museum grade attic find in downtown charleston sc. 11\" tall. Stopper is not removable. Haven\'t tried to force it loose. Chemical residue in the bottom of the bottle is possible reason stopper fits so tight.
