Up for sale is a completed, hand crafted andmounted on plywood Cross Stitch.It is from the JCA Needle Treasures Collection based on a design by M. I. Hummel.

The universal charm of the Hummel Chrildren is apparent in this nativity scene from an original drawing by Sister M. I. Hummel.

The embroidery is done on ivory aida cloth and stretched and stapled to plywood backing. The size is 14\" x 13\". It is ready for a mat and frame. Although the background looks tan it is bright ivory as it is shown in the photo of the kit. I will be updating the picture to show the real color.

Included in this listing is a picture of a kit for this cross stitch which is shown for reference only as this does not come with a kit. In that picture is hows how this will look with a red mat.

Finished size 12\" X 9\" without picture was a model crafted by hand to an embroidery kit which would have been on display in a store to show the prospective buyers how the item will look when finished. I was able to acquire quite a few of them; some were just matted and others framed.

Ilearned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified thecompany as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceasedoperations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. Thesefinished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offeredoccasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website:
