The great Kamehemeha credits Ku for his success in uniting the islands of Hawaii into one kingdom. Ku is the husband of the goddess \"Hina\". Ancient Hawaiians found the power of the presence of Ku to be protective over their families and property. This version of Ku was used as cultural ornamentation at the Tahitian Hawaiian Village hotel in Waikiki before its destruction to make way for the Hilton Hawaiian Village hotel more than 2 decades ago. Very rare image. Made of Pele Stone (proprietary concrete blend). 11\" High x 8\" wide x 4\" deep. Lava texture and coloration.
