ONE OF A KIND SUPERB COOK ISLAND MAORI TOP GRADE IRIDESCENT BLACK PEARL KORU TOKI PENDANT WITH OUTSTANDING LUSTER.

Hand carved and EXQUISITELY ENGRAVED by Master Carver TokerauJim from Manihiki.

The black lipped oyster pearl comes only from the lagoons of the Cook Islands and Tokerau Jim uses a beautiful quality shell to make his one of a kind pendants. The shell shows a number of iridescent shades ranging from golden brown to deep blue. This one has a HIGHLY PRIZED PEACOCK GREEN/VIOLET/GOLD/SILVER LUSTER that is only found in the inside of the pearl producing shell.

This pendant features a three dimensional carving and has a top A grade 8mm Black Pearl fastened to it with an 18karat gold pin. This outstanding piece of jewelry represents the Koru carved Toki (Adze of craftsmanship and mastery) and measures 1 3/4\" by 1\". The pendant is suspended on a strong black adjustable knot braided cord. Tokerau Jim has signed on the back.

The shape of the pendant is unique. You can see several things in it. The sun over the breaking surf, the shape of a fish head.... what can you see?

This pendant was previously purchased here on from seller Actonpark. Guaranteed never worn and it remains in the same new condition as I received from Actonpark. Thanks for looking.
