I have sold over 1,100 of these bulbs to date.***There are two MAJOR benefits to replacing your standard 15 watt incandescent light bulb with an LED:1. The LED is much brighter. As you can see in the examples shown below, the LED bulb showed 1,420 Lux (measurement of light) while the standard, clear 15 watt bulb measured only 850 Lux. The LED bulb is also a brighter cool white light, rather than the yellowish glow (warm white) produced by the incandescent bulb. There are 64 tiny LEDs in these bulbs, so they generate a more diffused light than LED bulbs that only contain 18-30 LEDs.

2. These bulbs use only 2.6 watts of power, which results in a LOT less heat being generated than using the standard 15 watt bulb. No more burnt fingers from touching the bulb!

These temperatures were taken after only being on for 5 minutes in each machine. It is very easy to burn your hand on the incandescent bulb. These bulbs are a newer style than I previously sold and will now fit many more machines besides the Singer 221 and 222 models. They are guaranteed to fit BLACK Singer 221 and 222 machines. They will normally NOT fit the white/celery 221 models. Those white 221K7 machines use a different style socket and these bulbs will not be able to lock into place without trimming their sockets. Hopefully, a bulb will be available in the future for these machines. If you have a push-in and twist bulb that has 2 terminals on the bottom, this bulb will most likely fit your machine!These new bulbs have been tested to fit Singer 15, 99, 201k, 201-2, 301, 301A, 306, 404 and many other vintage machines that take a push-in-and-twist Bayonet-based bulb with 2 terminals on the bottom.
