This listing is for (1) lot of Coretta Scott King and Martin Luther King Jr. related items. A close relative of mine worked with the King family for many years, most notably Mrs. King, during the 1980\'s through the mid-1990\'s. I found these items while cleaning out the basement of the family home. Following are the details of each item:1) A letter on official letterhead for the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, Inc. I have blocked out the name of my relative on the photos for the sake of privacy. Signed \"Coretta\". Guaranteed authenticity. Mailing envelope included.2) Invitation for a fundraising event held in Oakland, CA on January 17, 1986, commemorating the work of MLK and benefiting the National Emergency Fund of the South African Council of Churches. Bishop Desmond Tutu was the keynote speaker. Tucked inside is a handwritten note to my relative from someone discussing a possible schedule for Rosa Parks. ( I only took a photo of the front. There is additional writing on the back. It\'s 3\"×5\")3) Invitation to an event in 2005 sponsored by the Center for Democratic Renewal, honoring notables in Atlanta, GA. It notes on the inside that Mrs. King was a 2003 honoree. My relative was the Executive Director of this non-profit at the time, which is also noted.4) This is a printed copy of an excerpt of MLK\'s I Have A Dream speech, produced by the North Peralta Community College, Oakland, CA (previously Merritt College, see Wikipedia), dated January 1973. It is large, 11\" × 17\". The condition is fair, as there is discoloration and moisture marks. I previously sold another signed letter like item #1, and I invited the buyer to call me so that I could discuss in greater detail my family\'s connection to Mrs. King and others, and to recount my own experience with Mrs. King. I extend the same invitation to the buyer of this lot. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have, and please note that this is an as-is, no returns listing. I\'m really hoping that these items find a nice home with someone who wants some little interesting collectibles. Thanks so much for looking!
