Hi - This is what it say\'s about this license plate frame. Formed from heavy gauge solid brass it has been polished to a mirror finish and triple electroplated with 22k gold. Cobalt hardens the gold to give it excellent wear resistance and will not tarnish.Please do not use abrasive cleaners that will remove the gold. The CORVETTE letters feel in the package to be etched in and not just painted on top. I\'ve had this frame for many years way back in my Corvette day\'s and will never use it now.
