I collect uniform printsand have for many years. One beautiful heavy card 14 x 11 military uniform print. Suitable for framing. They are part of the Military Uniforms in America by Company of Military Historians. Cadets U. S. Military Academy 1802 #49 Company Military Historians Uniforms . Excellent Condition Colored in France Plate Number #58. Like the Knotel, Rousselotor Ospreyplates. John Elting was a member and he had written books about some these units.

The Company of Military Historians was founded in 1949 as an educational, scientific, and literary institution devoted to the study and dissemination of \"information on the uniforms, equipment, history, and traditions of members of the Armed Forces of the United States worldwide and other nations serving in the Western Hemisphere.\" The membership includes both professionals and amateurs in the field of American military history. On the rolls are not only historians, artists, writers, curators, librarians, teachers, and researchers, but people from virtually every walk of life. Among the members are serious collectors of militaria: uniforms, accoutrements, weapons, equipage, military miniatures, artwork, and books.

The plates are researched and illustrated by Company members, and are approved by a committee for accuracy before publication. Artists who have contributed to the series include such prominent names as Frederick Chapman, Peter Copeland, Herbert Knotel, Eugene Leliepvre, Eric Manders, H. Charles McBarron, Donna Neary, Clyde Risley, and Don Troiani.

Plate # 58 It is hard for me to let of these but all things must come to an end.

Myscans do not do justice to the prints, they havedeep rich colors and I love color. Print is much more colorful and clearer than the scan. I will be selling a couple of hundred military prints over the next few weeks from all periods of uniforms from about the 17th Century to 20th century, so why not view my other listings and select me as a favorite seller. I will also be selling more Napoleonic black and white prints and other history books as well. I just need to clear out stuff although I would love to keep it all plus more but spaceis at stake.

Buy three lots and pay no additional shipping charges. Domestic postage is $7.00. 6 pounds to UK and 10 Euros to the continent. They will be sent in sturdy oversized envelopes, well packed. I have bought some pretty expensive things on that appear to have been packed by monkeys at truly excessive ($100US) prices. I want to make sureyour itemgets to you safely.
