In 1955, Harding was assigned the post of Governor of the British colony of Cyprus, a difficult post to hold with the disagreeing Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot communities who were warring over who should govern the island. Harding\'s actions, including curfews, school closures, concentration camps, death penalties, and finally the exiling of Archbishop Makarios III were all extremely ineffective and unpopular, leading to his resignation in 1957.

This booklet hascard covers and is in good condition, but forheavy creasing to the covers, slight edge wear and marking throughout. (see all scans provited)
