The first marks Green Arrow joining the Green Lantern under his title for an extended run. During this run, the focus becomes on issues that are really affecting society at that time, making the stories more relatable and historically significant. Green Arrow became known as \"the voice of the streets\" at the time for taking on the social issues of the time with Green Lantern. This led to many more superheroes from both Marvel and DC tackling current issues instead of just villains.

The second iconic moment is this issue marks the start of Neil Adams artwork under the Green Lantern title. Neil Adams is a legendary comic book artist that has worked for both Marvel and DC, drawing many of the most iconic characters at one point or another, as his work is so sought after.
