Dept 56 Dickens, A Caroling We Shall Go, New In Box Animated Rare Retired For Sale
A Caroling We Shall Go, Says about all of it. This piece is fully animated with the Carolers strolling around the Christmas Tree. Victorians popularized the tradition of caroling in the 1880's, groups of carolers went from house to house singing songs and, for a small sum, offered a welcome drink from the wassail bowl. The word "Carol" comes from the French and means "ring" because carolers danced in a ring as they sang. This plays "Good King Wenceslas". This could go with any of the Villages, people dress in Victorian costume during the holidays, and sing Christmas carols. Looks great in Christmas in the City. We have searched to find current value, on Amazon, E Bay and collectable sights. We have not been able to find one used or new, like ours factory sealed. Still in the shrink wrap. Make a reasonable offer and its yours. Thank you for looking.
