This is a very fine ,rare & IMPORTANT center piece by one of the most famous Dutch ,American artist(Dirk Van Erp) 1860-1933\"DirkKoperlager van Erp (1860 - 1933) was an Dutch American artisan , coppersmith and metalsmith , best known for lamps made of copper operlager.

His metal works is very popular and he also has won an gold medal for his work in 1908.

This piece is very unique with the workmanship.This large center-piece belongs to circa 1900-1908.The workmaship is very unique.The top piece hand-hammerd bowl is removable.The stamp underneath of top bowl reads : \"Thedesign of an \"Windmill\"-DIRKVANERP-SANFRANCISCO.It is in shell design oval bowl that the oval top measures about:17.25\" by 12.5\" .The lower part consist of bronze work plus 2 light green color porcelain shell design dishes with elegant design all over and with an crest design too.It alsohas a porcelain piece inside the center post with flowerdesign.On the lower part it comes with 4 fish heads with 2 mermaids on bronze part next to the dishes.Itcomes with 4 cabriolet feet.The piece is inexcellent condition for its age .The bronze has gorgeous gilt patina.The total height measures about:22.5\" by the length of: 25.5\" on the base and the depth is:13.5\".This hand-made piece is an important work .There is just only one made of this signaficant and unique center-piece.
