This early 20th century Dresden figure group advertising Yardley\'s Old English Lavender is \"the real thing\". It is signed Dresden, porcelain, polychrome decorated, and old. Its 12\" height and 8\" base and all of its features are perfectly preserved (no chips, cracks, discolorations, or other problems of any kind that we can ascertain). The female mother figure and the two adorable children she accompanies are beguiling, wonderfully modeled and meticulously painted. The clear Dresden company signature is boldly authentic and the designation \"Foreign\" scratched into one side of the bottom must suggest that the piece was manufactured in Germany but destined for a marked far afield. This colorful and nostalgic treasure is collectible on several levels--as old advertising, as Dresden figure group with age, as illustrative of olden-times family group....
