DURAND BLUE COIL ART GLASSVASE
For your consideration is astunning DURAND Blue Iridescent “COIL” Art Glass Vase - Shape # 1721.
Durand Art Glass was only produced for about 7 years (1924-1931).This is a beautifulexample having apredominantlybluelusterbody with a spontaneouswhite coil decoration with hints ofcaramelcoloring , all enhanced with iridescenthues. It hasa fire finished top rim with apolished pontil on the bottom; no signature was detected though not uncommon. The majority of their early work was unsigned with most having paper labels. There is evidence of a label/sticker on the pontil area and four old felt pads.It measures approx. 7” tall by 3.5\" at widest.The vase is in excellent condition having no chips, cracks or repairs and very minimal wear.
