Some expected light edge wear and toning to the covers and discolouration to the page edges, otherwise very good indeed. Without inscriptions. A fantastic resource and truly beautiful art object in its own right. Not to be missed.A truly wonderful book documenting the vast repetoire of the luminary Wiener Werkstaette designer. Dagobert Peche (1887-1923) quickly became a key figure of the group after joining in 1915 - he became co-director a year later - offering initially textile and wallpaper designs then furniture, glass, ceramics, jewellery, toys, lighting and other objects. As a graphic artist, he contributed postcards, as well as invitation cards, bookplates, and posters. In the immediate aftermath of his death by cancer in 1923 he was described by Josef Hoffmann as \"the greatest ornamental genius Austria has produced since the Baroque.\"
