DavidWright (12December 1912 – 25 May 1967) was a British illustrator who drew a series of\"lovelies\" that epitomised female glamour during World War II. He also created the Carol Day cartoon strip for the Daily Mail in 1956, creating a soap opera style of comic strip that paralleled similar workin the USA.

Here is the original pen and ink artwork for Carol Day #2382. A nice example from the Gerald Wain storyline,the 26th Carol Daystory. The story began in February, 1964. This example features Carol and SirEric.

Size is about 19 by 7.75 inches. Image size is about 17 x5.25 inches. Excellent condition with minor whiteout to correct dialog balloonedges. Dialog is pasted onto the artwork.
