Inthis story, Carol helps Paul Egan and his daughter Jennifer cope with thedifficult relationship between them and Paul’s sister, who has been chieflyresponsible for Jennifer’s upbringing following the death of Paul’s wife. Inthis group Paul is about to cancel a promised visit with Jennifer to the zoo,when it occurs to him to ask Carol to take her, thus beginning one of the bestsequences in the story.
