$182.50

Here is the original art for Carol Day #883, a very attractive example from the story Cross-Currents, the eleventh Carol Day story, which ran in 1959. Cross-Currents is the sequel to Paris Episode and marks the second and last appearance of Mark Lovell and Max Kessel.

The modeling business is slow so Paul Egan convinces Carol to take on a job as the hostess at a club he is opening with Claud Myron, where Mark and Max are going to play in a group with Eve Brady, a sultry singer, and Tubby Evans a bass player. Myron is having an affair with Eve but hoping to two-time her with Carol.

Size is about 19 by 7.75 inches with an image area about 17 x 5.25 inches. Excellent condition with just minor soiling in the margins. Dialog balloons are nearly invisible paste-ups.

Postage is $18 in the US by priority mail. Out of the US postage is $26 for international first class mail. Paypal only. Buyer is responsible for any customs fees/duties/taxes. Customs value will be the closing price of the sale.
